People to People International (PTPI) is a cultural and educational exchange organization devoted to promoting world peace through international friendships.    Founded by President Eisenhower, for over fifty years PTPI has promoted global goodwill through its youth and adult travel programs, homestays, charitable contributions, international conferences, youth programs and other activities across an ever-expanding international chapter network.

The DC-area chapter uses its location to provide unique opportunities to develop international friendships through its embassy visits, cultural and educational programs, and its Host/Neighbor program in support of the National Defense Universities' International Fellows program.
